Kaitātari—Analyst
Jack is an analyst in Wellington UniVentures' Intellectual Property Commercialisation team.
As an analyst, Jack is responsible for screening Te Herenga Waka researchers’ ideas and inventions in order to identify early-stage research with commercial potential.
Growing up in Christchurch, Jack gained his BSc in Biochemistry at the University of Canterbury before moving to Auckland for two years to complete his MSc in Biotechnology. Prior to his UniVentures role, Jack was a Patent Assistant at AJ Park, working across IP with the Chemistry and Life Sciences team.
Outside of the world of commercialisation, Jack enjoys mountain biking Wellington’s many tracks (Rockdrop and Park Bench around Mount Victoria are his favourites) and brewing his own beer.
